Every month, we want to highlight two immigration stories in our blog. Which is why, this month we’re shining a bright light on Dr. Lalita Malhotra, a well-respected obstetric and gynecologist, named, “Angel of the North” by the local indigenous community. Originally from India, she continues to deliver babies, and work with the local indigenous community to help their overall health conditions. By 2019, she had delivered more than 10,000 babies in Canada.
Her drive and passion to help others is very inspiring, and we honour her work as a doctor, woman, advocate and immigrant. To read more about her story, click here.
